Close your eyes and listen for the heavy thud of a three-toed footprint sinking into the mud. Long before cities existed, the world belonged to giants with pebbly skin and sharp teeth. Some ancient residents were small, quick, and covered in colorful feathers. Look for a crested Parasaurolophus calling to its herd or a menacing Spinosaurus showing off the massive sail on its spine. They might be splashing through a swamp or guarding a clutch of leathery dinosaur eggs, but these reptiles always turn a quiet afternoon into a time-traveling safari.
